Lock models
You can lock models to prevent other users from editing them. As long as the lock is enabled, only the user who applied it can edit the locked items.
Prerequisite
Locked models must be closed.
You have the Designer role or are a system user.
Open the relevant database, click the relevant group, and select the models you want to lock on the Models tab.
Right-click in the selection.
Click Lock/Unlock >
Lock. The Lock models dialog opens in which you can select additional models for locking.Add additional models, if necessary.
To lock the objects contained in the models in addition to the models themselves, enable the Include objects check box.
Click OK. The dialog closes and the system checks whether the selected items can be locked.
When the lock is set, you will receive a message. If items cannot be locked because of the restrictions, you are notified, and you can use the Lock items dialog to display the items that could not be locked.
Locked items remain locked until you or a system user unlocks them.
